Wildlife Tours

On The Tiger's Trail

Start your tour at Delhi, a sprawling metropolis that effortlessly juxtaposes centuries' old Mughal monuments and colonial architecture, before treading on the tiger's trail at Bandhavgarh National Park. Set against the backdrop of a crumbling fort that is believed to date back to the 1st century, this park is widely known to have the highest number of tigers in the world. In fact, there is even a saying about it: "At any other park, you are lucky if you see a tiger. In Bandhavgarh, you are unlucky if you don't see a tiger."

But don't consider yourself unlucky just yet if the queen of the jungle was in one of those moods... because there's always Kanha National Park. Vast in size and magnificent in diversity, this densely forested park supports large populations of sambhar, barasingha, gaur, and, of course, the tiger. After Kanha, drive to Pench National Park an impossibly pretty park that incidentally has the highest herbivore count in India to chance upon more tigers and herds of chital and nilgai.

The last national park on this itinerary is Satpura National Park: with its softly flowing rivulets, deep ravines and rugged terrain, this park boasts of black buck, leopard, wild boar and tiger aplenty. While the Royal Bengal Tiger may be the prize sighting on this itinerary, Central India still offers a varied range of wildlife like hyenas, civet cats and chowsinghas, all of which stand to make your Indian wildlife experience an exhilarating one.
