Jungle Travels India (or JTI for short) is a family-owned (and -run!) award-winning destination management company specialising in wildlife and birding tours across India.
In 1989, in a tiny back-room with nothing more than a telephone, a thick index of flights and a solid knowledge of the destination, husband-wife traveller duo Ashish and Jahnabi Phookan established JTI. We were one of the first companies to introduce the world to East India's rich biodiversity and today, we cover wildlife and birding hotspots all across India.

WHAT MAKES JTI A GREAT COMPANY TO TRAVEL WITH?
In order to give you the best Indian wildlife and birding experience, we use our own guides and naturalists whom we can personally vouch for. Our guides have tremendous experience in leading small to big groups, having worked with avid birdwatchers from institutions like Harvard Natural History Society and Massachusetts Audubon Society.

Besides wildlife and birding, we also try to mix in cultural experiences in between safaris - a walk to a local village of weavers, or a folk dance by a tribal troupe.

We also take great care to ensure that our guests are comfortable throughout their wildlife or birding tour. This means choosing jungle lodges with excellent service or providing you with extra pillows when camping.
